Cruelty against animals
I'm a bit outdated here, I haven't been following Malaysian news until it appeared on bbc today.

For those who couldn't be bothered to click on the link, it's basically a report on 300++ dogs which got deported to an island for being a nuisance to the local villagers. Note that this is not the perfect, beautiful Malaysian islands you see on TV advertisements everyday. It is a remote island with no human inhabitants and filled with mangrove swamps.
This is disgusting. Humans, turned themselves against their own furry best friends.
I suggest sending those people who deported the animals to Pulau Ketam and see how they survive. Even murderers of our own kind don't get this type of treatment.
Rescue efforts to save the dogs are in progress as we speak. You can read more about the ups and downs of their work from this link. What appalled me was that the villagers, who basically monopoly the boat hire business in that area, are charging the volunteers more and more. I understand that they too have to earn their own living, but clearly they exploited this issue, when they are actually involved in this act of cruelty. From what was written on that website, it seems that those bigshots and NGOs are not helpful either.
Oh well, what goes around comes around.
I shall end this post with "Just you wait" from the musical, My Fair Lady

Sexy uniforms? Not?
I was laughing like mad when I saw this report on the newspaper.
KUALA LUMPUR: A Malaysian group condemned the uniform worn by girls at government schools, saying it encouraged rape and pre-marital sex.
“The white blouse is too transparent for girls and it becomes a source of attraction”, says blah blah blah.
OMG you call that sexy?
If that is sexy, then what about short skirts in Japanese schools? Oh wait, that is what they call revealing right?
Will this cause an erection then?
I agree there should be a degree of decency in schooling children, but the sex threshold for Malaysian men is lower than I've expected. I think the more you try to 'protect' your children, the more spoilt they will be. As the saying goes: "spare the rod and spoil the child." Look at Amsterdam and other places. This is the 21st century, and things do change with time. I remember my friend's mum used to wear mini skirts to teach because it was popular at that time. And did that cause any uproar in rape cases? Just wondering, is there a correlation between number of rapes and school uniforms? It would be interesting if someone performs a t-test to test its significance.
If the sex drive of Malaysian men is that super, I guess our only option will be this:
School uniform sexy, says group

Interesting entry
My sister forwarded this to me, which is written by this person, Raja Petra Kamarudin with royal family blood. It is interesting to read what he actually thinks about his own religion. I actually agree with some of points mentioned. Anyways, read it yourself and make your own judgements.
