A Local Female Artiste

I heard this song over MyFM. It's by a local singer (again) called Serene but I only like the 3rd song 断翼蝴蝶. Literal translation of that song's title means "broken-winged butterfly". Apparently the first song, "Jane" is very popular. But to me, it's not like very unique or what lar. haha can't find this anywhere so I just have to post the whole thingy here lar. I think song no. 6 sounds very familiar, sort of Fish Leong style. U can listen to her album and buy it in stores for RM19.90!!! OMG i sound like a salesman haha. OK lar, not bad for a RM19.90 album. Good start for a Msian artist. But I would still rather buy a Jay Chow album. haha Fish Leong or Penny Tai album also can.

Oh ya, she has a wierd hobby of wearing a bronze masquerade mask whenever she goes for shows, interviews, performances etc. Apparently she wants to be judged based on her music, not on her looks. Sounds like another 'Crazy Frog' or 'Gorrilaz'. No, there is no 'ding ding dong dong biddie badda boom' in her album. Her 'masquerade' appearance will go on for 3 months (she told the press). Let's wait to see the 'real' Serene.

Oh she has a very wierd album name also. Her name is Serene, but the album name is called"I am Not Serene". Er... if you are not Serene, then you are a bear from catland? Anyways the word 'serene' can be an adjective or a noun. So it's up to you to interpret. lol ok i better don't crap too much about this so just listen to the album for yourself here. I can embed this player, but it will autoplay and this might irritate certain readers. Lol so don't put lar

About the chinese words above

    This is for the benefit of my non-mandarin speaking friends.

    The chinese characters found on the top of the layout basically means (according to verse):

    Secretly I left,
    Just as secretly as I came;
    With a flicker of my sleeve (I departed)*,
    Without bringing away a wisp of crimson cloud.

    *added to make more sense
